About Our Reviews
The Lit Queens Reviews
As of 2019, Bella and Parker will post detailed reviews of books they read from time to time. Reviews will be on books that we rate high and just want to show love to the author as well as recommend the read. We are no longer accepting requests for reviews at this time but if we happen to come across your book, love it, and want to share it with our queendom then we hope you will appreciate it.
Our reviews will include:
Title and author, publisher, release date, page length, how long did it take to read, our rating, cover art, synopsis from Goodreads, Amazon or publisher/author's website, and our review.
Our Rating System:
We do not exactly use a star rating system on our site. We’re Queens so we use our own ‘crown’ rating system. However, we will use a star rating when leaving a review on Goodreads and/or Amazon. As mentioned above we only post reviews of books we would rate high and recommend. For our rating system breakdown please click here.
Genres:
We read many types of genres but for review purposes we will focus on books by African American writers.
Our reviews will always be an honest reflection of the book and consists of our thoughts alone and no one else's. If you’re looking to find your next four or five star read, you might find it here or discover a new to you author! for a no nonsense no sugarcoating review then you’re in for a treat.
